This first one, Tommy's Theme, is certainly an interesting experimental piece quite far removed from not only Noisia's previous work, but also that of just about any other electronic artist. The first two tracks on disc two are brand new originals by Noisia, both first released as separate singles on mau5trap. Without further ado, (as there's been far too much of it already), Ross shall review each track on the second disc of Split the Atom in the order listed on Beatport and evaluate whether or not it was worth releasing the album again. Ross was not in the greatest of rushes to buy this version due to already owning the album, but he was eager to give the new tracks and remixes a listen. So well received was this album that two years later on Deadmau5' mau5trap label, (a controversial label choice in this modern world of mainstream electronic music "sellouts") Noisia decided to release a two disc special edition of Split the Atom, featuring remixes from various artists in various styles, both similar and vastly different to the styles of Noisia's own original works.

Despite having an odd structure, with the more significant tracks being separated by interludes that many felt could have been extended into full tracks, the album did offer a certain number of musical pieces which would rather rapidly go down in history as undeniable anthems of both drum & bass and electro house. One highly anticipated Noisia release was their 2010 album, 'Split the Atom'. Eventually, Ross was able to follow their progress with each release, allowing him to monitor their transition between various styles of multiple genres. At first, listening to Noisia consisted almost solely of catching up with their notably extensive back catalogue. After all, it's difficult to follow dnb without at least having heard of these fellows. Shortly after discovering the addictive genre of drum & bass on April 18th 2008, Ross inevitably stumbled upon the trio of Dutch masterminds known as Noisia.
